Select Oil Price Plan
Although winter is behind us, it’s already time to prepare for the heating season by selecting a price plan for your home heating oil. Rural Fuels offers various options to suit your budget and ensure the fairest prices.
Fixed Price Program: Lock in a set price per gallon for the entire heating season, protecting you from market fluctuations
Floating Price Program: Benefit from market prices with the flexibility to adjust as rates change
Fixed Price with Downside Protection: Secure a fixed price while retaining the ability to pay lower rates if market prices decrease.
Schedule A/C Tune-Up
Regular maintenance on your air conditioning system is crucial for maintaining a comfortable home when we have high-heat days.
Four Benefits of an A/C Tune-Up from Rural Fuels

Replace HVAC Filters
Your A/C system collects dirt, dust, and other matter, which can reduce efficiency, decrease your indoor air quality, and deteriorate your system. It is important to check, clean, and change your air filters every 60-90 days for your system to work to the best of its ability. Changing your air filters is part of a tune-up from Rural Fuels.
Reset Your Thermostat
When warm weather kicks in, it’s time to change your thermostat to COOL mode for Summer. For optimal efficiency, consider installing a smart thermostat. You’ll be able to set your thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature when you're not at home, which can help reduce energy consumption and save money on your energy bills.
Consider A/C Efficiency for Savings
The standards for energy efficiency are set by the U.S. Department of Energy, with a SEER rating assigned to every piece of equipment. The higher the SEER, the greater the efficiency, the less electricity needed to cool your home.
CONSIDER THESE STATS:
If your A/C was installed before 2006, the average SEER was 10. Now, due to age, that same piece of equipment has a SEER of 7 or 8.
The minimum SEER allowed to be installed today is 13.2.
For every increase in SEER, you should see a 4-6% decrease in your electricity costs.
